Ken's work has been focused on biomarkers, point of care, and the use of laboratory information systems to improve the flow of patient information in the hospital and the clinical interpretation of patient test results. At OUMC, he has used information systems to build databases in cancer studies and other markers for their diagnostic and prognostic value. Ken has authored and co-authored over 300 articles in clinical chemistry and biomarkers and written a number of related book chapters throughout his 40 year career in the laboratory.
He has also authored a textbook titled, Principles of Clinical Chemistry.
